There are six types of moving companies:
Local mover
This type of company handles local relocations, typically within a limited geographic area. Local movers are responsible for onsite estimates and pricing, packing and unpacking, loading and unloading, and transportation of the goods. Packing and unpacking
A company that offers packing and unpacking services may also provide boxes, tape, and other supplies. This type of service is a good option for people who are moving long distances, but don’t want the hassle of renting a truck and hiring movers to handle everything themselves.
Some moving companies will also unpack and reassemble furniture, as well as disassemble and reassemble home electronics and other appliances. These companies can save you a lot of time and stress, but they usually come with a higher price tag than other moving services.
